The Kingston and District Poultry and Pet Stock Association hosted
the Odessa Fair Poultry Show on August 16th and 17th, 2025. We had
399 entries - a few more than
than last year - from 29 exhibitors, including 12 juniors. Strong classes included Games, Rocks, Wyandottes,
and Brahmas in chickens; Calls and East Indies in waterfowl; and
tumblers, rollers, and homers in pigeons. Our judges were Greg Oakes on poultry and Jeff
Waite on pigeons. Frank Goodfellow judged the rabbits.
The KDPPSA would like to thank our judges for doing a great job. We thank
Willows Agriservices for donating the shavings used in the show. We
thank Heron Management and Peter Moase/Impact Electric for donating
and installing the new LED lights in the poultry building. We also thank our partners at the
Odessa Agricultural Society for sponsoring the prize money, ribbons, and
rosettes. Special thanks to our exhibitors; to Glen Brushette for
doing a great job as show chair; to Glen and Melanie
Brushette for the great show room decorations; and to everyone who
