2017 KDPPSA Spring Show
The 2017 Kingston and District Poultry and Pet Stock Association spring show was held on June the 4th in the KDPPSA building at the Odessa Fairgrounds. Our judges for the day were Mark Camilleri and Robert Ridler, and both did a great job. We had a good turnout with 22 senior and 12 junior exhibitors cooping 340 entries including 131 bantams, 72 large fowl, 43 waterfowl, and 85 pigeons. This was down a bit from last year, especially in pigeons, but the quality was still very strong. I noted particularly strong classes in bantam silkies, cochins, and games, and in tumblers and rollers in pigeons. The large fowl in general were quite strong, with the game, brahma, and faverolles classes standing out. More than $500 in cash awards and prizes were given out - the awards table is shown below:
